Pineapple Berry Smoothie
- 1 cup almond milk (maybe a little more, and regular milk is fine too)
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 banana
- 1 teaspoon honey
Blend it all together and enjoy!
For my first post, I wanted to make something simple but also delicious – a smoothie! Everyone loves smoothies, right? They’re a perfect drink to make for any time of day. This recipe is for one I made for breakfast the other morning. With just 5 ingredients, it’s quick & easy, but also so good & will fill you up for the morning.
To be honest, I’m usually so bad at making them. They either turn out way too thin or too thick. I recently found a formula to fix this problem & make it perfect every time. It is: 2 cups of fruit, 1 cup of liquid, and 1 banana (this serves 2-3). For the cup of liquid, you might need a little more depending on your fruit or if it doesn’t blend well. I always add a banana to my smoothies because it makes them the perfect consistency. Also, it doesn’t have to be fruit – it can also be vegetables, a blend of both, or anything you want your smoothie to be. I added some honey in this one just for sweetness.
You can almost anything to any smoothie. For this particular one, you could add protein powder for an extra boost or after a workout. If you want a green smoothie, avocado is a great ingredient to add. It might sound gross but it’s actually not. Maybe I’ll post one of my recipes for one later in my blog.
It was harder than I thought to get good pictures of all the ingredients and make it look nice! Bad lighting makes it look dull, and a bad angle can make it look weird – and I didn’t want any of that, so it took me a couple of tries. As I post more recipes, I’m sure it will get easier and better.
